About Me

  
         
2017-2018 will be my 25th year of teaching.  I graduated from The University of South Dakota with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education.  The first fifteen years of my career were spent as the Brookings School District's Elementary Social Skills Teacher at Central Elementary (now The Children's Museum of South Dakota!).  In search of a new challenge, I transferred positions and  have since been teaching second grade at Hillcrest Elementary.

My husband, Jay, and I have an amazing 11 year old son, Nicholas.  He is the center of our lives and takes up all of my time outside of school.  This year, Nicholas is in Fifth Grade.
